Why not you?

A message from Michael

Founder of the Hall of Champions

There’s a question I’ve come back to again and again.

Not as a slogan. Not as motivation.

But as something real.

Why not you?

Most people feel the pull at some point.

To help. To build something. To stand for something that actually matters.

But almost immediately, something else shows up.

“I’m not ready.”
“I don’t know how.”
“Someone else will do it better.”

And so the moment passes.

I’ve learned something over the years.

The people who make a difference aren’t the ones who feel the most prepared.

They’re the ones who decide not to ignore what they’re feeling.

For me, this work didn’t start with a perfect plan.

It started with a simple realization:

There are children and families facing childhood cancer every day… and far too many of them are doing it feeling unseen, unsupported, or alone.

And once you really see that, you don’t unsee it.

At some point, the question becomes unavoidable.

If not now… when?

If not someone else…

Why not me?

Not because I had all the answers.

But because I understood something clearly:

You don’t need permission to care.

And you don’t need certainty to begin.

So I’ll leave you with the same question.

Why not you?

Why not be the one who steps forward?

Who chooses to care—and then act on it?

If this resonates with you, start here.

Dream Big is more than a story. It’s an invitation to see what’s possible when we choose courage, compassion, and action.
